Playing with flowers! :)

Today was a great day at Designs by Courtney. There was a mix up with some flowers that were shipped for Christmas arrangements and I ended up having a bunch of extras. So much to my delight I got to spend the entire day creating fun, new bouquets. Enjoy the beautiful pictures and happy holidays to you and have a happy new year! Thanksgiving fun!

Every year I am tasked with creating the flowers for my families Thanksgiving table. This year I decided to create a large cornicopia bursting with flowers and it turned out beautifully!!!! I also had some extra flowers and created a fun fall ikebana, a rose bridesmaid bouquet and a button mum pomander. I love to find any excuse to play with flowers! :)

Drew and Stephanie's Wedding recap

Well it's been about a month since Drew and Stephanie's wedding and I realized that I hadn't posted any pictures of their wedding flowers! Everything turned out really beautifully and fit the fall themed wedding really well. Enjoy the pictures!

Gorgeous fall flowers!!!!

Picked up all the rest of the beautiful flowers today at Northwest. Everything is looking very colorful and fresh. Looking forward to starting on everything :)

Sunflowers, Sunflowers and more Sunflowers!

Gorgeous fall flowers are here!!!!! Today Stephanie and Drew's flowers arrived with lots of fun sunflowers which are looking beautiful!!!!! Tommorow early morning I will be picking up the rest of the flowers at NW and then get strated making stuff!!! Everything is going to be beautiful. :)

Table mock ups for Stephanie and Drew's Wedding

I recieved all of the vases for my October wedding this week and decided to spend some time making mock ups of the table set up. I think everything is going to look really great once I get the sunflowers and other accents ( curly willow, fern curls, thistle) in there. I also got my bonsaii trees for the head table which are looking very cool and unique. Each tree is about the same size but has a different shape. I have decided to lift them up with glass cube vases for the head table, under the cube vases there will be a sunflower. Overall I think everything is going to turn out beautifully! I am really looking forward to the 24th :)

Tim and Lisa's Wedding- Ray's Boathouse

Just got back from setting up Lisa and Tim's wedding at Ray's Boathouse in Ballard. Everything turned out beautifully!!!! There was a little bit of rain but it did stop for the ceremony and my lilies finally opened after a night in the bathroom with all the lights on! :) I love designing weddings because the end always has a happy ending! :) Now I need to gear up for Stephanie and Drew's wedding in late October, fun fun!
